If you’ve ever been privy to the many connections the internet can help you make, you’ll know that there’s a community for almost every interest you can possibly imagine, and a great online network to get in touch with are those who own motorcycles. Car and bike enthusiasts are very much present on the web, and there are countless forums, blogs, news websites and e-magazines for you to get stuck into at your own leisure.

But how do you go abut tracking them down, and which are the good ones to stick with? Well, if you’re familiar with the web you’ll know that there are search engines in abundance, so feel free to use those and keyword phrases like “motorcycle forum” in order to get a good list of results, in the same way you would search for holiday packages or car insurance. Most of the results you get will be relevant, but all search engines are fallible, so ensure that the site or forum is competely relevant to your interests before registering for an account and starting to communicate with them.

Once you’ve found a forum, ensure that it has a lot of users, which can be done by checking how many posts there are on the forum, how regularly they are updated, and how many views and responses they get. This is a foolproof method of gauging the forum’s popularity, and if you find a big one (and you will!) it’s a piece of cake to jump on and start talking. Ensure you have an avatar (a display picture for people to identify you by), and feel free to post pictures and talk shop!

Alternatively, there are actual websites with news, reviews, columns on bike maintenance, and other such articles that will help you monitor the industry and keep track of all the amazing new bikes coming out on a regular basis. Until we meet again – and who knows, you may even start your own forum or site – good luck and good hunting!
